Visual Logic Framework

Scratch & Block
Programming Logic Syllabus

Designed for kids ages 6–10. Building foundational computational logic, game loop architecture, variables, and early machine learning inputs.

AGE RANGE:Ages 6–10
PRE-REQS:None (Junior Friendly)
FORMAT:1:1 Elite Mentorship
GRADUATION:Arcade Portfolio Page

Prerequisites & Details

  • System: Laptop or Desktop (Windows/Mac) with webcam.
  • Schedule: Flexible times, 1-hour sessions weekly.
  • Mentor: Vetted university CS mentors.

Curricular Milestones

1
Week 1–2

Visual Algorithms & Coordinates

  • Navigating the visual block canvas and configuring customized backdrops.
  • Learning algorithmic direction commands, degree rotations, and x/y screen coordinates.
  • Constructing basic sequences and input triggers (e.g. key clicks, pose triggers).
STAGE OUTCOME:Compile an animated visual greeting or dance-party storytelling game.
2
Week 3–4

Gravity Loops & Conditional Rules

  • Mastering infinite loop layers, timing offsets, and variable score parameters.
  • Writing 'if-then' sensing rules (e.g. if character touches color red, reset game).
  • Configuring primitive visual physics (simulating gravity jumps and friction).
STAGE OUTCOME:Develop and publish a custom Flappy Bird or visual platformer clone.
3
Week 5–6

Intro to Visual AI Models

  • Training voice-activation blocks to steer game characters.
  • Using computer webcam pose sensing to move game pads (hand signs recognition).
  • Intro to automated machine learning model blocks for kids.
STAGE OUTCOME:Build a game controlled entirely by hand movements via web cameras.
